Local Honey
I am a small volume beekeeper in west Morgan County. From June to December, I sell pure natural honey from Morgan, Rabun and Towns Counties. My honey is not processed, pasteurized or heated. It comes straight out of the hive and is strained through a food-grade 600 micron (coarse) filter to remove any excess wax particles. This honey retains all of the natural pollen, enzymes, vitamins, etc. that would otherwise be lost by heating and micro-filtering. Only organic treatments are used to protect the hives. The hives are not located near commercially grown crops. The bees sources of nectar are wildflowers and trees.
